Spectacular September Haul

Since September is my birthday month, I usually go H.A.M. when it comes to hauling. It is also very easy to do when every company I have ever visited is throwing coupons my way. From Hallmark and World Market to Coldstone, CVS, and Target, I had more birthday gifts and discosnouts discounts than I could ever imagine. Despite the variety of places I got to spend my birthday money, most of my coint went to my first love — beauty. If you’re a regular around here, then that statement should come as no surprise. Keep reading to see all the birthday beauty I hauled this month!

Cashing in at Kiehl’s

Since I have Sapphire Wings at Kiehl’s, I received a free travel size product for my birthday with a purchase. The one item I absolutely love from Kiehl’s that I can’t get from Ulta or Sephora is one of my holy grail moisturizers, the Creme d’Elegance Repairateur ($32), so I hauled that and chose the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser as my birthday gift.

Snapping Up Deals at Sephora

For my Sephora birthday gift, I without hesitation wanted the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream and Coco Cabana Cream Set. When I made my order to get my birthday gift, Sephora had the option to spend $75 now to get 15% off later. Lucky for me my order actually sealed that deal for me. The Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette ($54, On sale $15) has been on my Loves List for the longest time. I think it would make an excellent companion to my Fenty Galaxy Palette when I want an out there eye look that sparkles and shines all day. When the price dropped from $25 to $15, I knew I had to haul this before it went out of stock for good. That was good thinking on my part because it’s currently out of stock. Since Sephora likes to ride Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty coattails, Sephora put the products they have in common with Ulta on sale with their daily “Oh Snap” deals, so I also hauled the Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara ($25, On sale for $12.50).

I recently finished the Sol de Janeiro Glowmotions Glow Body Oil in Copacabana Bronze. Although I really like the sparkle this body oil gave my skin, I want to try the other colors in the product line, so I picked up the Sol de Janeiro Glowmotions Glow Body Oil in Goldie Rocks ($35, On sale for $26). I’m really excited about this one, but I’m sad that I have to wait until next summer to use it. With the 15% off coming just in time for my birthday, I hauled the Kilian Princess Eau de Parfum ($75) because I’ve had that fragrance on my wish list for the longest time and the Gisou Mini Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo ($13) that I wanted as soon as I saw the brand on Sephora.

This Haul Was Major

I also couldn’t resist Sephora’s labor day sale. This month, I finally used the Pat McGrath Labs MTHRSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Eyeshadow Palette that I hauled months ago! Although the colors on my eyes don’t really look like the swatches I saw, I am still in love with how buttery smooth these shadows apply and how those shimmers be shimming. Shout out to YouTube Fave Too Much Mouth! When I saw the Pat McGrath Labs Mini Eye Ecstasy: Eyeshadow Palette ($28, On sale for $14), I couldn’t resist. I got both the Subversive and Sublime palettes, so I basically got two for the price of one.

An “Oh Snap” deal and the trial size of the Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mask, which has been on my Loves List for the longest time, inspired me to haul the BareMinerals BarePro 16-Hr Full Coverage Concealer in Deep-Neutral 15 ($24, On sale for $12) and the Sol de Janeiro Glowmotions Glow Body Oil in Master Flash ($35, On sale for $26). I actually have the mousse mask on my list, but if I don’t like this mask sample, then I won’t buy that one.

Ultimate Birthday Buys at Ulta Beauty

For my birthday, Ulta gave 2X points on all my purchases during the month, a $10 coupon, and a deluxe sample of the Lancôme Deluxe UV Expert Aquagel Defense Primer & Moisturizer SPF 50. I used my $10 coupon for a Soap & Glory haul because the brand was BOGO 50%. I decided to try a new-to-me body cream, Soap & Glory Fruitigo You Butter Glow Body Butter ($15), and their cleansing balm, Soap & Glory Glow Your Mind Nourishing Cleansing Balm ($14, On sale for $7). With my coupon, I got both items for less than the price of the body butter, and that definitely delighted my inner budgetnista!

During the month, I also got a 5X points offer for NYX Professional Makeup. I used the opportunity to finally get the NYX Professional Makeup Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation Brush ($15) that has been out of stock for the longest time. With that purchase I scored minis of NYX’s best sellers. While I was in the store picking up my order, I scooped up another tube of the Acure Seriously Soothing Serum ($9.49). I have been loving this in my current routine, and I couldn’t resist buying another one.

21 Diamond Days of Platinum Perks

For Platinum Perks Day, the Diamond gift was the BECCA Cosmetics Hydra-Light Plumping Lip Balm in Tide ($19). I wasn’t excited that we only had 3 color choices, but it was free, so I won’t complain too much. With this order, I hauled the BeautyBlender Solid Charcoal Scented Sponge & Brush Cleanser ($45, On sale for $22.50), the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser ($14.99, On sale for $8.99), and the Truly Blemish Treatment Acne Heart Patches ($10).

Unlike the previous 21 Days of Beauty, I didn’t really haul hard this time. There were very few products that excited me after getting the BeautyBlender Solid Cleanser. I planned to get the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Hydrating Toner Mist ($28, On sale for $14) from Sephora, but it was sold out, so I got it from Ulta. It’s already in my current routine, and so far it’s working well. I finally cashed in some of my many Ulta points, so when it was time to haul the Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner ($34, On sale for $17), I also got the Michael Kors Wonderlust Eau de Parfum Rollerball ($30), Viktor&Rolf BONBON Eau de Parfum ($68), and Too Faced Mr. Cover-Up Perfect Concealer Brush ($22). With the $10 off $40 prestige coupon and 2000 points ($125 off), I only paid a little over $2 for this mini haul!

I cashed in 2000 points on another day during 21 Days of Beauty to get the BareMinerals BareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer in Dark to Deep ($24, On sale for $12) and the CoverFX Monochromatic Blush Duo in Spiced Cinnamon ($38, On sale for $19). During the last sale I got Sweet Mulberry, but I was feening for Spiced Cinnamon too. This time, I copped it with a quickness! To round out this haul, I got the Phyto PHYTOVATHRIX Ultimate Thickening, Densifying Treatment for Scalp and Hair ($95) to help in my journey to reclaiming my formerly glorious mane.

You Had Me at Clearance

Ulta had an extra 50% off clearance items in the store, and I scored the Revolution X Patricia Bright Dusk Till Dawn Face Palette ($12, On sale for $3)! I obviously don’t need another face palette, but I heard positive reviews about this, and I’ve been intrigued ever since. When I wash my hair, I mix regular shampoo with a cleansing conditioner, so I bought the Phyto Specific Cleansing Care Cream ($29, On sale for $14.47) to use when I’m finished with my current cream shampoo. For some reason, I didn’t get the extra 50% off on this, which I didn’t notice until I got home. I’m not too upset about that since I got 2X points during September. The ultimate score was the Lancôme Blending Shadow Brush ($29.50, On sale for ($10.49). I can never have too many blending brushes, and I don’t own any Lancôme brushes, so I quickly put this in my basket because did you see that sales price?!

This is Love That I’m Feeling

Ulta continued to bless me during September with Diamond and Platinum Appreciation Day where we received 10X points on certain products and 5X points on everything else. Since I’ve been using LA Beautyologist’s method of toning between each step during my skincare routine, I have been running through hydrating mists. I am constantly buying new mists, and I was super excited to add the Peach & Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist ($29) to the mix. I also purchased the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer in Hazelnut ($9.99) because although I’ve finally joined Team Maybelline Concealer, the one I bought in Caramel is a little too light. I’m hoping Hazelnut is a better color choice for my skin tone either by itself or mixed with Caramel. I absolutely love using cream shadow as an eyeshadow base, so I also decided to try the Laura Mercier Caviar Eyeshadow Stick in Cocoa ($29).
