If you are a regular reader of the site, then you know how intense my previous empties posts can be. You may also be wondering why you haven’t seen any Trash Talk novels lately. That is because there are only so many times where I can rave about the products I continue to buy again and again without driving both myself and you dear reader mad. This month I’m shaking things up by just focusing on the items I’ve tried for the first time and whether or not I will buy them again.
Body Care

Bath & Body Works Boardwalk Vanilla Cone Hand Soap – It smells like vanilla. Of course I’m going to buy it again!
Bath & Body Works Vanilla Cloud Hand Soap – This is for my fellow vanilla lovers! I will absolutely repurchase this again in soap form or any other form I can find it.
CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum – Although I would usually put this in the Skincare category, I used this serum as body care to help even out the skin on my knees and elbows. The only thing keeping me from repurchasing it is the packaging and the price. My bougie ass doesn’t mind spending coins on skincare, but I don’t think this product warrants the price.
Soap & Glory Heel Genius Amazing Foot Cream – Okay, but nothing life changing. I think I’ve tried this before in the past, but this lackluster experience will keep it on the no-buy zone.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream – I really loved the rich texture of this body cream, but it has that artificial watermelon candy smell other products in the line have, which I absolutely hate. The packaging also made it difficult to get product out of the bottle especially when getting to the end. This cream would work much better in jar or tube form.
Kopari Sudsy Shower Oil – This is definitely in the “Buy Again” category because I already have a bottle waiting for me in the shower. I’m glad the second bottle has a cap instead of a pump because I dropped this bottle in the shower and the pump top snapped off. Lucky for me, it snapped off when the bottle was nearly empty.
Revolution Glow Radiance Face and Body Shimmer Oil – I am so glad this oil was a freebie because this stuff is complete basura. I would be pissed if I spent my hard earned coint on this shimmer oil. First of all, it’s watery AF, and I had to shake it between every spray. I hoped it was a dupe for my beloved Sol de Janeiro Glow Oil, but this was nothing like it. I dumped most of it out and tried to add as much simmer to my regular body cream. This is a hard pass for me, and I could never recommend it to even my worst enemy.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ‘40 Bom Dia Hair and Body Fragrance Mist – I didn’t think SDJ could make a scent more amazing than Cheirosa ‘62, but they did that with the Bom Dia. I wish I could be surrounded by this scent 24/7, and I think I love the Bom Dia scent more than the Bum Bum scent.
Sol de Janeiro Glowmotions Master Flash Glow Oil – This isn’t my first round with the Glow Oil, but it’s my first time using Master Flash. I didn’t have high hopes for it because the color seemed like it wouldn’t go with my melanin. However, this product absolutely wowed me to the point where I wish I had another bottle waiting for me. Luckily, Master Flash is still available at Sephora. The same can’t be said if I fall in love with the Goldie Rocks currently waiting in my stash.
Hair + Makeup

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel – The sample is in the color Ebony. I guess it works well. If there’s one part of the makeup process I’m not really into, it’s definitely brows. This works just as well as the Benefit Gimme Brows I really like, but the label on the ABH packaging doesn’t rub off like it does with the Gimme Brows. I would definitely purchase this Brow Gel to give me full brows with a quickness.
Camille Rose Rejuva-Drops Grow Back Serum – I bought this as part of The Hair Growth Bundle. I didn’t see much progress with just the drops. It might be because I wasn’t able to consistently use them twice a day. I might repurchase the bottle again in the future to try again, but I’m not chomping at the bit to do so.
Grande Cosmetics Black Conditioning Peptide Mascara – Ugh … this might be one of the worst mascaras I’ve ever tried. Fortunately, I received this for free as one of my Diamond Perks. Unfortunately, I have another one waiting in the makeup stash because it was recently a Diamond Perk again. Although I hate this mascara with the heat of the fiery sun, I can’t resist free makeup.
Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Make-Up Primer – This primer is pure silicone. Don’t believe me? There are only 2 listed ingredients. The first one is a silicone. The second one is also a silicone. What I love about this primer is how smooth my skin feels and how nice my foundation sits on top of it. There is no pilling. There is no cakey feeling. The La Base Pro may be one of the best primers I’ve tried. However, I will not be running out to repurchase this primer because of its over $40 price tag. I originally bought it during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, and I would only repurchase when it’s 50% off.
Patrick Ta Major Glow Highlighting Mist – I bought this as part of a set that included a mini size of of the mist in We Love Her Pink Pearl and the Major Glow Setting Fan. I absolutely love using the Setting Fan to dry down my concealer. However, the Highlight Mist was a bust from the beginning. There is no way to control this spray on top of makeup. It comes out as shimmer splotches and never looks good no matter what. There is no way I would buy this again.
Skincare

CeraVe Skin Renewing Gel Oil – I used this as a replacement for my beloved ACURE serum sticks, and I absolutely loved it! This leaves my skin glowy, not greasy, and layers well with the products I’m currently using. Not only is this on my repurchase list, I’m currently using a second bottle and have another one in the stash.
Clarisonic Radiance Foaming Milk Cleanser – I bought this cleanser to get free shipping at Current Body, which seems to be the only place to buy new Clarisonic Brush Heads. The scent is amazing, and the cleanser feels so luxurious. Whether I’m using my hands or a cleansing brush, this gives a wonderful lather and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would absolutely repurchase this cleanser in the future.
Clinique iD Dramatically Different for Pores & Uneven Texture – I used this cartridge with the Hydrating Jelly+. I’ve heard some people experience a stickiness with the jelly, but it wasn’t the same for me. In fact, it worked fantastically as a serum in my routine. At the moment, I’m trying the Imperfections with the Hydrating Clearing Jelly+. I didn’t notice any amazing results with the Pores & Uneven Texture cartridge, and I didn’t like that the cartridge was empty before the Jelly. Whether I buy it again or not depends on my experience with the Imperfections cartridge.
Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray – Unlike other products in this post, I have used the Clinique Face Spray before, but it has been a while. This bottle was a gift with purchase, so it was the perfect opportunity to see how I like the spray, especially in a routine that is heavy on spray use. Even though it feels like I ran through this bottle, I love the light spritz and how it layered in my routine. It is definitely on the buy again list.
Derma-E Advanced Peptides & Collagen Serum – I bought this serum on a whim during a random trip to Ulta, and it didn’t disappoint. Although it didn’t suck, it also didn’t wow me to the point where I would be running people over to buy another bottle. For a supposed affordable brand, I was kind of taken aback by the almost $40 price tag. I might buy this serum again if there is a sale. Until then, it’s on to the next one.
Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mousse Mask – Surprisingly enough, I learned about this mask from Susan Yara before she ultimately broke my trust. I love how gentle this mask is on my skin. Unlike many other clay masks, this one from Innisfree isn’t very drying. I also love the price. This is absolutely on the repurchase list.
La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+ Wash – What I like about this cleanser is it gives the best of both foam and cream cleansers. It has the plush feeling of a cream with a low foam for those of us who love a good lather. I even recently used it as a body wash, and it’s great on the body as well as the face. This is obviously on my rebuy list because I already have another bottle sitting in my shower.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Intense Soothing Eye Cream – There was nothing to the eye cream but moisture. If you’re looking for an affordable eye cream that brings moisture, hydration, and nothing else, then this eye cream is a must-buy. I also like the packaging that allows me to get every drip drop of eye cream out of the bottle. I would buy this eye cream, but it’s not at the top of my rebuy list.
Lancôme Comforting Makeup Remover Milk – Although this is supposed to be a makeup remover, I used it as a regular cleanser, and I absolutely loved it! Even though we are not supposed to use scented skincare, I loved the scent. Despite the price tag, I would absolutely buy this cleanser again. However, I’m only buying it with some kind of discount.
Lancôme Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Double-Wrapping Cream Mask – I might have just discovered my new favorite bougie sheet mask, but it may be because I got it for free. Will I actually spend my coins? Most definitely … if it’s on sale.
Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Dew Cream – I constantly hear fellow skincare peeps bashing this brand, but almost every experience I’ve had with Mario Badescu has been positive. This face cream was no exception. I received this as a Diamond gift, and immediately fell in love. The downside for me is it doesn’t provide enough moisture for my dry skin, so that will keep me from actually spending my own coint on another jar. However, I will never turn down a free one!
Milani Green Goddess Makeup Melter Cleansing Balm – After falling in love with the Green Goddess Sleeping Mask, I was interested in seeing what that cleansing balm do. Let’s just say Milani understood the assignment. I love the earthy smell that I assume is in all of the Green Goddess products, and I love how easy the balm melted in my hands and melted off my makeup … just like their claims.
Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask – I used this as my moisture on evenings when I had a mask sesh. I loved the richness of the mask and how it soaked into my dry skin. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the price. In the future, I will purchase the travel size mask since I don’t use this product very often.jj ik
